News update: August 12, 2007

Holy cow... i just came to update my site and realised that it's been over a year since the last update. Sorry about that. Not that i'm sure anyone noticed.... most of the action seems to be happening over at My Space these days.

For anyone who is still checking in here, well.. err.. there's not much to report. The studio has been busy with lots of producing work. I've been doing lots of gigs with a whole variety of people. I've been spending a lot of time with my wife and child. We moved house. It seems i've been doing pretty much everything except nurturing my solo career. After 11 albums and a few EPs (including The Finkers and The Supahip) in an 8 year period, i guess it's ok to take some time off. I don't need to release an album EVERY year, do i?

I haven't forgotten about the discussed 'Oarfins' compilation album either. Though i am currently investigating the viability of releasing CDs at all any more.. maybe i should put an online poll up here.. see whether people would be just as happy to download a new record or not? Anyway.. 'Oarfins'.. it just never seems to be high on the priority list right now. Maybe one day. I guess if i'd have sold more of SOOP#2, i'd have been more interested...

There is talk though. I'm thinking of starting a powertrio and banging out an album really quickly. I did record SOME new songs a while ago as well, but that kinda just stopped. I think i just need to set some time aside and write some songs, then see where they land...
